The red man moves through quiet streets, footsteps heavy but unremarkable. Home waits somewhere ahead, though it feels more like a pause than a destination. Beneath him, the water bends his reflection — fragmented, shifting, almost unfamiliar — a fleeting glimpse of someone who is never quite at rest.

I wanted to capture that fragile tension between motion and stillness, presence and absence. The layers of gouache build depth and texture, letting the figure shimmer slightly as you observe him, caught between the weight of routine and the unspoken spaces that give life shape.
