About The Artist

My name is Ashley Kingswell. and I'm a multidisciplinary artist based in Somerset, UK.

Being honest, my works are all very different. As much as I can wish all of my artworks would fit into a pretty little niche I can label, most of the time they don't; and I'm learning how to be okay with that.

My art is a reflection of my current state, which is unfortunately forever changing. I admire change. I admire the refusal to be put in a box. I seek for my work to be boundless as my mind is, without walls to constrict feelings or ideas. My desire to be everything in life shows in my work: one day it's a cat peering out of a window and the next it's the hollowing realisation of performative self amongst the crowd of ordinary. That's just how it works here.
